Influencing innovation
The best students and staff have brilliant ideas. Help us make them a reality.
Having the freedom to invest in creative and innovative ideas that have an immediate impact is crucial to a world-class university. More than 100 extraordinary projects totalling £1.3 million have been funded since 2002.
Donations to this fund are distributed annually to initiatives that will have an immediate impact on the campus environment, teaching and learning facilities, and activities available to enhance the student experience at Birmingham. These initiatives include everything from a multimedia lab to researching infant brain activity and enabling student volunteering and summer internships in war and famine ravaged countries.
One student’s voluntary work placement was the starting point in a journey that eventually led to her working for the United Nations Development Council and an internship at the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
Your gifts will ensure that Birmingham continues to attract outstanding students and to offer them an outstanding educational experience.
Match funding means that for every £3 donated to the University, the government will donate £1 until 2011. Make a difference. Give today
